The Story

Some things are passed down through generations, quietly, without a name for what they are. For Diane Singh, it is the love of beautiful things and the freedom to seek them wherever they may be found, far from home.

Her paternal grandmother, a Hungarian Jewish woman, was a muse for Guy Laroche and opened the fashion house's first boutique outside of Paris. A woman of taste, a woman of borders, she married a foreigner and wore jewelry the way some people carry convictions.

At 22, Diane left for India. She did not yet know the journey would be permanent. She learned the craft of stones from Ravi Shankar, a master artisan from Jaipur, who had crossed the country by motorcycle to pass on his knowledge.

Today, Diane Singh creates jewelry that weaves French elegance with Indian spirituality. Narrative pieces worn like talismans. Her concept store in Jaipur is as much a workshop as a cabinet of curiosities.
